About the role: As an Operations Manager you will lead a team of project managers within GNFE (Global Nuclear Fuel Engineering), reporting to the Operations Director. This is a mobile role, located in Columbia, SC. You will report to the Director - Global Nuclear Fuel. This is a hybrid role, located in Colombia, SC. The group has a vision of "Predictable and Excellent Project Execution". Key Responsibilities: * Manage a team of project managers. Projects managed by this group are related to Westinghouse's nuclear fuel hardware products (upgrades, new designs, new features, enhancements). * Lead in consideration of the group's vision * Develop PMs through training. Ensure projects are staffed with qualified PMs and aligned with PM competencies. Provide growth opportunities for PMs. * Ensure understanding of Westinghouse program requirements and expectations for project management, including application of applicable tools. Enforce adherence to project lifecycle processes such as stage-gate reviews as applicable. * Foster business relationships with the relevant engineering, manufacturing and supply chain organizations to support PMs. Ensure appropriate partner engagement. * Be an escalation point for project issues and resolution * Oversee project performance (financial and schedule) and implement recovery actions * Identify cost efficiencies and other transformation efforts * Set priorities in situations where several projects are relying on the same engineering group (serving as a program manager). Collaborate with resource managers for approval of resource requests. * Support several business processes for resource planning & transformation efforts * Manage project reviews Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related technical discipline * Minimum ten years of applicable experience. Previous managerial experience. * Working knowledge of the nuclear fuel business, including the different fuel hardware designs. * Understanding of business and financial management processes * Minimum 5 years relevant project management experience and qualification, program management preferred We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
