Position Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Wage: $110,000 - $125,000/year

Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

- Test and develop new equipment

- Improve and refine existing equipment

- Use Project Management to incorporate design and budgets for projects

- Maintain physical and direct functional and supportive role with multiple facility maintenance and manufacturing groups

- Assist plant maintenance with advanced troubleshooting

- Provide floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques

- Ensure products and systems comply with applicable codes

- Report routine activities on a monthly basis, keeping relevant staff members up-to-date more frequently on rapidly moving projects

- Initiate or supply documentation for capital projects using TPM tools used within the EEM pillar and the six-step management methodology

- Support new equipment and processes with in-house training classes, as determined by the department's and the company's needs

- Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/motion/hydraulic systems and solve other problems as encountered

- Understand basic use of instrumentation devices, programmable controllers and their associated roles with system operation

- Assist in the troubleshooting of instrumentation devices and PLC's and be able to help identify the source of the problem

Requirements for Senior Mechanical Engineer:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree

- At least 10 years of related industry experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries

- Proficient in creating and reading electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings using AutoCAD

- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of electrical systems

- Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed

- Experience in 3D modeling AKA SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Navis Works is a plus

- Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus

- Chemical manufacturing background preferred
