Bobcat Skid Steer Drivers

Maple Leaf is currently hiring for temporary winter help. We are looking for Bobcat skid steer driver. This position may lead to seasonal employment in the spring. Qualified candidates must be dependable and available at various times of the day or night depending on weather conditions. Must be able to work several hours at a time depending on the amount of snow. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Seasonal November until April. These jobs can lead to spring/summer positions

Position Description:

Bobcat skid steer loader:  Responsible for removing snow on commercial and residential sites from paved areas. Snow is to be removed from all paved surfaces and snow is to be piled in specified locations. Must have a minimum of two years of Bobcat skid steer operations. We currently use Bobcat skid loaders with foot or hand controls. $22.00 to $25.00 an hour

Duties and Responsibility

• Must be available 24/7 unless prior notification of time off has been requested and given to management.
• Must be able to do equipment/vehicle check list checking lights, oil, and other things prior to event.
• Must be able to remove snow as specified in above job description.
• Must be willing to be a team player and check in upon completing work to see if anyone else needs help.
• Maintain a good driving record and attendance record.
• Must arrive promptly at specified time for work shift.
• Must fill out job sheets and times for each completed job.
• Must be able to work well with others and communicate cordially with your co-workers.
• Must operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Must be aware of upcoming weather conditions.
• At the end of snow fall must be able to fuel and clean out garbage from trucks/vehicles and turn in route sheet
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Must dress appropriately for extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to operate equipment safely.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our location
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have the ability to physically remove snow where and when necessary

Good attendance and workmanship could lead to employment during the spring, summer and fall months April through November doing lawn maintenance, landscape, fertilization/weed control.
