THE POSITION

Bring your experience with the criminal justice system to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person with excellent people skills to help lead our team as Criminal Justice System Supervisor. By taking on this role, you will help us continue to enhance the quality of coordination and planning within the criminal and juvenile justice systems, to facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime, and to increase the safety of our communities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will supervise the staff of the Constables' Training Program and serve as lead-staff support of the Gubernatorially appointed Constables' Education and Training Board. Your work will involve establishing plans and times frames for program work, assigning work to program staff, and reviewing work products. You will evaluate staff in the presentation and effectiveness of the training programs, as well as coordinate the curriculum development process to provide changes and updates to the training as necessary. Some of your duties will include developing new policies related to training content, provide on-site supervision for training programs, and research new technologies in training delivery. Additionally, you will provide education and technical assistance to constables and agencies involved with constables.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, reporting to the office 1 day per a month and as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as Criminal Justice System Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a bachelor's degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field; or
  • Two years of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a master's degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
