ABOUT THE JOB:

General Manager - Clearspan Structures will own and lead the end-to-end strategy, operations, and growth of the new product category-transforming it from an early-stage initiative into a mature, scalable business line. This role carries full P&L accountability and is responsible driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence through strong leadership, disciplined execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The General Manager will develop and implement market strategies to accelerate adoption, optimize asset utilization, and enhance return on capital while ensuring employee engagement, safety, and customer satisfaction across all regions. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven leader with a balance of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define, communicate, and execute the strategic roadmap for the new product category of Clearspan Structures to align with overall company objectives and growth targets
  • P&L Management: Oversee financial performance, including revenue growth, margin expansion, and EBITDA achievement, ensuring disciplined cost control and efficient capital deployment
  • Market Expansion: Develop and execute go-to-market and commercial strategies to drive unit on rent growth, customer penetration, and diversification across multiple market segments
  • Sales Enablement: Lead and mentor the sales organization to achieve performance goals through clear communication, effective performance management, and close collaboration with field sales resources
  • Operational Excellence: Establish best-in-class processes for safety, quality, and service delivery; continuously improve asset utilization, logistics, and workforce productivity
  • Team & Culture Development: Develop, and inspire high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and engagement while driving measurable improvements in employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS)
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive dynamics, emerging trends, and customer insights to inform pricing, product positioning, and future innovation opportunities
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, finance, product management, commercial and operational excellence teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans and timely delivery of initiatives
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely updates and insights to executive leadership on performance metrics, forecasting, and key business risks or opportunities

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in general management, business development, or product commercialization roles
  • Proven success in launching and scaling new product lines or business units
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership and decision-making responsibility
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and align diverse teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action and innovation, while staying true to Willscot's culture and values.
