Description

Salary: $20 - $25/hr

Position Summary: The Data Specialist is responsible for assisting the Data team to enter and maintain data for all program components that include After School, Summer Camp, Holiday program and events hosted by the site. The Data Specialist is responsible for system operations, creating and maintaining participant records within agency & contractual requirements, and coordination of the daily operation of data management.

Essential Duties:



  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in basic computer applications and ability to master multiple basic computer databases and their functions.
  • Talented in creating systems for ensuring accurate and timely data collection and inputting.
  • Comfortable in taking initiative to learn the data needs of the program, determine and generate corresponding data reports, and share findings on an on-going basis.
  • Assist the Data team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data systems.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of program participant attendance in databases.
  • Attend database trainings as required.
  • Assist in managing the site's Youth Services.Net information System (CSIS/ CitySpan) and responsible for data entry of all program components such as Afterschool, Holiday program and Summer Camp.
  • Assist in creating, distributing, and collecting attendance sheets for programs.
  • Assist in importing all participant information including demographic, school, attendance and assessment data into CSIS/CitySpan.
  • Assist with program scheduling, participant enrollment, activity input and attendance.
  • Assist in input of afterschool attendance for participants in DYCD Connect.
  • Professional demeanor, good judgment and commitment to ensuring confidentiality of participants records.
  • Performs other related duties, as required; Flexibility (within reason).



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in data entry.
  • Preferred: fluent in English and Spanish; pursuit of college degree.
