Material Handler II

Material Handler II plays an essential role in the efficient operations of the Distribution Center. This position is responsible for performing a variety of material handling functions including operating powered industrial equipment, handling inbound and outbound products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Operate distribution center machinery including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and sweepers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform outbound picking, packing, and staging of orders for shipment.
  • Perform inbound receiving and stocking of materials into appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Assist with cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Perform janitorial and housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs or safety issues.
  • Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily performance goals and productivity targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
  • Must be certified or able to become certified to operate forklifts and reach trucks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer or RF scanner skills preferred.


Physical Requirements



  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures depending on warehouse conditions.
