This position is an onsite role located at Akron Children's Boardman Campus. Summary: The Manager of Volunteer & Visitor Services serves as a liaison to the Director of Volunteer & Visitor Services by providing support towards daily operations of the department, its employees, and volunteers. Responsibilities: 1. Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy. 2. Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations. 3. Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls. 4. Serves as a liaison to the Director of Volunteer & Visitor Services by providing support towards daily operations of the department, its employees, and volunteers. 5. Manages Guest Attendant personnel and activities to ensure a professional, positive welcoming experience at all critical points. Responsible for implementing onboarding and training plan, managing hours of operations, and serving as a mentor to support performance management. Informs Director of the condition of the hospital information desks and address needs or concerns. 6. Establishes relationships with internal and external stakeholders that will increase hospital programing initiatives. Will represent at respective meetings and hold a role on committees to increase program awareness and development. 7. Oversees the management and organization of the hospitals internship policy, process, and procedures. 8. Works collaboratively with Public Safety t to educate Guest Attendants on policies and procedures that ensure safety, and maintain a knowledge base around safety and security measures. 9. Aids in meeting department goals in the following areas: recruitment, placement, orientation, ongoing training, performance management, relationship management, recognition, policy development, records management, and legal compliance. 10. Other duties as required. Other information: 1. Experience working with volunteers, education and program development, or organizational development is required. 2. Experience in program management is preferred. 3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. 4. Experience in healthcare is preferred. 5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Volunteer database systems is preferred. Education and Experience1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Organizational Development, Non-Profit Management, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred. 2. Certification: None. 3. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 4 years in volunteer services is required. 4. Years of experience supervising: 1 year is preferred.
