Systems Engineer

• Provide advanced engineering support across key application and infrastructure verticals, including Citrix, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

• Manage system administration tasks such as server configuration, deployments, patching, and infrastructure improvements.

• Research, design, and document new infrastructure solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Serve as an escalation point and Subject Matter Expert for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams, assisting with issue resolution as needed.

• Monitor systems and respond to alerts, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of system issues.

• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, Systems Analysts, and Systems Specialists to maintain a secure and efficient infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related technical field.

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, and administration.

• Strong background in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

• Solid understanding of network troubleshooting, configuration, and general networking fundamentals.

• Experience with infrastructure technologies including virtualization, complex storage systems, physical cabling, and datacenter hardware.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation.

• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.

• Experience supporting enterprise application environments such as Citrix, SharePoint, or Exchange.

• Prior experience developing automation, optimization tools, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and alerting systems.

• This is a Remote role.

• This position requires occasional after-hours on-call support.

• Travel required up to 10% (1 - 2 times per year)
