Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
* Managing the full subcontract administration lifecycle, from planning and strategy development through execution, performance management and close-out.
* Leading the selection, prequalification and evaluation of contractors, ensuring alignment with project objectives, risk considerations and Worley standards.
* Overseeing negotiation of contract terms and conditions, supporting the preparation of commercial documents, and providing guidance on complex or escalated contract matters.
* Directing the review and validation of contractor performance, progress, compliance, reporting requirements and contractual deliverables.
* Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, approvals and supporting documentation while maintaining strong audit and data integrity.
* Identifying, managing and communicating subcontract risks, and working with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies and solutions.
* Leading, developing and supporting subcontract administrators and coordinators, including assigning work, reviewing outputs, and building capability within the team.
* Serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders-including project management, engineering, procurement, project controls and finance-on subcontracting strategy, policy and issue resolution.
* Driving continuous improvement by assessing systems, processes and tools, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation of best practices.
* Preparing high-quality reports, presentations and insights for leadership, customers and project teams to support decision-making and overall project performance.
* Supporting subcontract planning for proposals and bids, including resource forecasting, contracting strategies, commercial inputs and customer engagement.

What you'll bring to the role

* A university degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Typically 7+ years' experience in subcontract administration, procurement, commercial management or related project delivery roles, with demonstrated experience leading teams or managing complex scopes.
* Advanced understanding of subcontracting principles, commercial negotiation, contract law fundamentals, and project delivery practices.
* Proven experience managing subcontract activities on large, multidiscipline engineering or construction projects.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to inform, influence and persuade on complex commercial and contractual matters.
* Experience leading and developing people, including assigning work, providing coaching, and supporting performance and growth.
* The confidence to make well-reasoned decisions within established priorities, and to offer practical, informed solutions to project teams and leadership.
* Strong working knowledge of subcontracting systems, processes and digital tools, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and drive adoption of improvements.
* A collaborative leadership style-valuing diverse perspectives, encouraging open discussion and building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
* A willingness to travel to contractor facilities or project sites as needed.
