What You've Accomplished

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years of directly related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes and skill in applying manufacturing team concepts
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers
  
• Understanding of machining, assembly, fabrication, or other relevant production methods
  
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles
  
• Knowledge of ISO standards or industry-specific quality systems
• OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols
• Root cause analysis and corrective action planning

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Manufacturing Supervisor in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Rods/Bundles/Cages Product Center Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. The supervisory scope is for complex production operations on day shift. The incumbent does not typically perform the work being supervised but provides troubleshooting to minimize disruption in work flow. At the Richland Horn Rapids Road (HRR) Facility, individuals hired into this position may have additional applicable duties and qualification requirements as set forth in the HRR Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Special Materials License and / or HRR Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP). Your work will include:

• Planning and directing the daily workflow and activities of a group of manufacturing, skilled trade, and support personnel in multiple work groups
• Directly manage hourly production employees by requiring safety rules to be implemented, ensuring product quality, managing performance, and coaching to guide team success
• Planning, organizing, prioritizing, monitoring, and controlling the work activities of the shift in accordance with customer requirements and company policies, procedures and objectives
• Training, counseling, and evaluating performance of direct reports
  
  
  
  • Typically approves employees' timecards and participates in employee selection process. May recommend wage adjustment or change of status
  
  
  
  
• Supervising group's performance to complete work within budget and schedule
• Ensuring staff adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by maintaining a safety conscious work environment and aiding in developing proscribed procedures to meet quality goals
• Facilitating implementation of workflow methods and team improvements in a unique radiological environment
• Providing expertise to staff in resolution of non-routine manufacturing/technical problems
• Coordinating and tracking maintenance and project planning activities for the department
• Remaining in a stationary position, walk, kneel and crouch
• Operating computer on a continual basis and communicate with various levels of the organization
• Ability to medically qualify for half and full mask radiological PPE use
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $92,000 - $124,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
