Opportunity for a postdoctoral scholar is available in Dr. Sahin K. Ozdemir group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Saint Louis University, for highly motivated scientists with strong background in experimental techniques in quantum photonics and non-Hermitian optics.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of theorists and experimentalists and will primarily carry out research on non-Hermitian quantum photonic systems. The candidate is expected to work closely with the experimentalists in the team and supervise and train graduate students.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or Optical Sciences.
  • Proven track record in the fields in one or more of the fields mentioned above.
  • Proven experience in free-space optics.
  • Advanced programming and simulation skills in Matlab, LabView, Comsol or Lumerical are highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently, both under supervision and as a part of a team.
