The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented person to assist with data organization and storage, and with routine participant recruitment for two studies at Columbia University to understand autism spectrum disorder in human populations. Applicants should be possess strong communication skills. This role provides a unique opportunity work with a world-class team of researchers and physicians while being exposed to interdisciplinary research. This is an excellent position for recent college graduates who are considering graduate school in neuroscience or medical school.

Responsibilities




  • Assist PI with maintenance of data collection databases. Organize data for uploads to national databases. Maintain binder of regulatory documents and help document corrective action plans when needed.


  • Engage in routine participant recruitment, engagement, and enrollment.

  • Manage and coordinate meeting schedules, attend project meetings, and take and publish meeting notes.


  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program.
  • One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Undergraduate coursework in psychology, neuroscience, and biology preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Experience with REDCap strongly preferred.
  • Experience with MATLAB or R, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred.


Other Requirements



  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
