Description
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager / Product Manager to lead the execution, growth, and product strategy of AV's Advanced Targeting & Tracking (ATT) product line-including next-generation kinetic gun sights, precision targeting systems, and integrated Counter-UAS (C-UAS) sensor solutions. Based in Albuquerque, NM, this individual will manage all aspects of program delivery, customer engagement, and lifecycle ownership-from initial concept development through fielding and sustainment-ensuring AV's ATT solutions continue to deliver precision, survivability, and overmatch for U.S. and allied warfighters. This role bridges technical program execution with long-term product leadership. The selected candidate will serve as the primary interface between customers, engineering, operations, and executive leadership, driving program success and shaping the evolution of AV's advanced targeting and tracking product line. Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership - Oversee planning, execution, and performance of ATT programs, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met in alignment with customer and company goals.
- Program Management / Execution - Lead day-to-day program activities across multiple ATT product lines-including gun sight systems, targeting subsystems, and integrated C-UAS sensor and engagement architectures.
- Financial Management - Oversee Estimate at Complete (EAC) development and financial monitoring across FFP, CPFF, and T&M contracts, ensuring program health and accurate financial forecasting.
- Product Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership - Define, execute, and own the long-term ("sunrise to sunset") product roadmap for AV's ATT portfolio, ensuring alignment with operational needs and AV's enterprise strategy.
- Customer Engagement - Act as the voice of the customer across Army, DoD, and international partner communities. Translate mission needs into product features, requirements, and capability roadmaps.
- Cross-Functional Leadership - Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle-requirements, design, integration, test, fielding, and sustainment-ensuring technical and operational alignment throughout.
- Customer Feedback Integration - Develop and maintain formal feedback loops with field users, program offices, and industry partners to ensure real-world performance directly informs upgrades and modernization paths.
- Business Development Support - Partner with BD and Capture teams to identify growth opportunities across targeting, tracking, and C-UAS mission areas. Support proposal development, customer briefings, and value proposition refinement.
- Financial Performance & Business Modeling - Develop sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and business models that ensure product line competitiveness, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or business.
- 10+ years of Program Management and/or Product Management experience in defense, aerospace, or high-technology sectors.
- Proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary DoD programs-preferably involving targeting systems, gun sights, C-UAS systems, or advanced fire control technologies.
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition, contracting (FAR/DFARS, OTA), and full lifecycle program management.
- Demonstrated experience managing cost, schedule, and performance baselines across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, physics, or business.
- Experience with kinetic weapon fire control, targeting subsystems, EO/IR sights, radar cueing, or integrated C-UAS kill chains.
- Experience with sustainment and modernization of weapon systems for the DoD.
- Experience with MOSA / SOSA-aligned architectures.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and FAR-based programs.
- Prior engagement with Army PEO Soldier, JPEO Armaments & Ammunition, RCCTO, AMD-CFT, or similar DoD organizations.
- PMP, PgMP, or DAU Program Management certifications.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed engineering teams, subcontractors, and cross-organizational partners.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels-internal and external.
Salary Range: $140K - $180K
