This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

Essential Functions
  • Provide calibrations and operations & maintenance support for KREMS radar systems.
  • Oversee design, development, installation and testing of radar hardware and software modifications and upgrades.
  • Measure and analyze radar system performance.
  • Perform real time operations at the radar console.
  • Perform and analyze calibration and/or system test at KREMS radars.
  • Review all calibrations for errors, system anomalies, and long-term trends.
  • Update calibrations documentation, including instructions and calibrations histories.
  • Train personnel to qualify them as mission calibrations engineers or to perform routine calibrations.
  • Assist in diagnostic efforts related to problems uncovered by system tests.
  • Provide recommendations for calibration improvements and modifications.
  • Review user requirements documentation, designs and documents mission test plans, transforms test plans into mission planning documentation.
  • Serve on console as needed to support real-time flight test execution as instrumentation controller or analytical position.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform real time calibrations and operations at the radar console.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to organize and communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Direct experience with testing, calibration, troubleshooting and acceptance testing.
  • Ability to train console operators and radar operation personnel.
  • Ability to interface at a technical level with engineers from varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to provide project support for Improvement and Modernization projects
  • Knowledge of systems integration, configuration management, and operational testing.
  • Desired Skills:
    1. Familiarity with software such as C, C++, java, MATLAB python, and the RHEL Linux OS.
    2. Experience with scheduling tools or mission scheduling in a technical/operational environment.
    3. Familiarity with MATLAB System Tool Kit (STK), or Simulink software is desirable.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years experience related to mission support, project support, or work involving range support.
  • Experience with project works desired. PMP preferred.
  • DoD 8140, IAM Level II (CompTIA Security+ certification).

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
