Mission of the Role

***This position is located in our SICK, Bloomington MN office. The person will work in office four days a week and may work remotely one day.

This intermediate-level role performs a variety of routine and moderately complex accounting tasks. The position supports general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and financial reporting, requiring solid accounting knowledge and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general/subsidiary ledgers.
  • Research and resolve vendor discrepancies and disputes.
  • Process invoices using three-way matching and ensure timely entry.
  • Review and process purchasing card statements and initiate ACH/wire payments.
  • Reconcile Parent Payable balances monthly.
  • Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and support financial planning.
  • Manage acquisition and tracking of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting clerks.
  • Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations.
  • Maintain compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounting roles.
  • Education: Associate's degree in accounting is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: No certification is required.
  • Position-specific Qualifications:
    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and cash flow forecasting.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer/Technological: Professional competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP experience preferred.
  • Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
  • Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time; be on-call on some weekends (if required).
  • General Working Conditions: Be able to usually work in an office environment.
  • Travel: The position does not require travel.
  • Physical Demands: General office environment space and exposure. Computer monitor more than 4 hours a day.

Compensation

The base salary is one part of our Total Rewards package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below; the actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs and other job-related factors, as permitted by law.

  • Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $46,480 - $69,025
  • Bonus Eligibility: This role is NOT eligible for an annual bonus.
