Responsible for delivering profitable sales growth for the Nestle USA export business across assigned international regions. The Commercial Development Manager - Exports drives growth with existing accounts and identifies new business opportunities through geographic expansion and/or new product introductions. Key activities include developing business plans for new markets and items, tracking sales by account, product, and country, managing trade budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with Nestle business standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities: Conduct in-depth research to pinpoint potential countries or regions for expansion, assessing commercial and regulatory feasibility.
  • Develop market entry strategies: Create and implement comprehensive business plans tailored to each country, considering local market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead and coordinate international market expansions: Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely responses, detailed planning, and proactive follow-up. Drive execution with urgency, maintaining clear communication and accountability across stakeholders to deliver on time and within scope.
  • Develop and execute route-to-market strategies and category plans: Deliver profitable sales growth in assigned international regions.
  • Oversee export operations: Coordinate international orders, regulatory requirements, Customer Order Fulfillment (COF), and payments.
  • Accurately forecast monthly sales: Analyze historical performance, market trends, and customer demand to ensure reliable projections by customer and category.
  • Manage compliance: Track authorized products and markets, balancing growth opportunities with adherence to Nestle GLA guidelines.
  • Customer management: strategically develop new and existing accounts, ensuring trade budgets by category are effectively utilized to accelerate profitable business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with finance, CD, supply chain, legal, and regulatory teams to align international strategies with overall business objectives.

Key Experiences:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Commercial Development, Sales, and/or Marketing.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
  • Experience in international business development, including market prioritization based on growth potential and regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new regions, including feasibility studies and regulatory assessments.
  • Strong track record of managing multiple stakeholders and thriving in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
