JOB SUMMARY:

The Sensory Technician is responsible for the coordination, organization and maintenance of the Sensory Lab, and for administrating expert sensory panels and sensory activities. The Sensory Technician creates a safe and efficient workspace and is the main point of contact for Sensory Panel Assistants during expert sensory panels.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure lab cleanliness and compliance to all relevant Nestle standards and required documentation

* Maintain well organized lab and storage spaces using 5S principles

* Ensure Sensory equipment is maintained and calibrated

* Maintain inventory of Sensory Lab materials and supplies

* Manage sensory product receipt, storage and inventory

* Assist Panel Leaders with sensory test creation in sensory software and launch IT sensory sessions

* Administer sensory tests, including sample preparation and presentation

* Communicate panel instructions to Sensory Panel Assistants before, during, and after experts sensory panels

* Assist Consumer Sensory Insight Specialists and Panel Leaders with sensory training, sensory glossary development, panelist screening, and other sensory related activities as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):

* High School degree required, technical training preferred

* Experience in laboratory is preferred either in a classroom or work environment

* Software knowledge: EyeQuestion, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Strong computer skills

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Strong organizational skills

* Able to work well in a team environment

* Flexible work hours, as required by the business

* A collaborative attitude, enjoys working with, learning from and sharing knowledge with others
