Our Shared Services team, which includes People Operations, Finance, IT and Security, and Contracts, provides internal services and support across Ad Hoc. Shared Services works to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to the company's various teams and business units. By streamlining and standardizing support, Shared Services allows teams and business units to focus on their core business functions and achieve greater effectiveness internally and with the agencies they support.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Director of Pricing, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Pricing department. A Director of Pricing is a people manager, leader and mentor that effectively manages team operations in support of organizational success, and supports leadership in effectively managing Pricing operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert that is able to successfully lead through direct reports and effectively communicate and execute against organizational objectives. In this role, a Director of Pricing will actively partner with leadership peers to achieve business objectives, and is developing a strategic mindset to influence organizational growth. A Director of Pricing must exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate among varying teams and departments to support the development and implementation of standard processes and procedures. Primary expectations of a Director of Pricing include:




  • Ability to efficiently complete both strategic & tactical pricing assignments, at various size and scope, while assuming overall leadership of pricing responsibilities



  • Exhibits influential skills to drive team strategy, think outside the box to identify creative solutions, and manage negotiations with Subks / Partners



  • Primary supervisor for pricing team members, and should direct entire pricing process across the organization



  • Collaborates with Executive leadership to support strategic business initiatives



  • Supervises the development of pricing policies and procedures, operating practices, and performance standards



  • Collaborates with accounting and finance leaders to create a vision for team objectives and communicates accordingly



  • Recognized as a pricing authority, with the ability to approve reports and documentation, at the discretion of leadership



  • May serve as a key decision maker to determine tools, infrastructure, and team operations



  • Serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, briefing pricing results and strategies



  • Serves as a primary point for communication with contracts, growth, finance and customer success to address pricing activities



  • Communicates pricing risks to leadership, and offers recommendations for mitigation; upon approval, executes risk mitigation activities



  • Responsible for hiring, performance management, timecard reviews, PTO management and team development




Basic Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant GovCon pricing experience




    • Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education





  • Proficient with pricing software as well as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel to devise graphs and presentations



  • Thorough knowledge of government contracting rules and regulations is a must



  • Extensive experience of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, IDIQ and Time and Materials (T&M)



  • Experienced in the application of financial principles and processes to support organizational operations



  • Experienced with financial reporting tools, inclusive of Unanet, Deltek or other solutions and provides recommendations for improvements



  • 4+ years of people management experience, responsible for defining expectations for team operations and performance management

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $170,000-$190,000.
