**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Position Reports to the Director, Food Service and the System Executive Chef. Responsible for providing the day-to-day leadership of the Culinary Program at the assigned Southcoast Hospital Group Facility. Responsibility and regulatory accountability for the culinary and procurement operations, assuring safe, quality, efficient food handling, preparation and service of food for all customer groups at assigned Facility.
  • Bachelors degree in related area or certified culinary arts diploma from an accredited culinary school.
  • Minimum of 8 years culinary experience with at least 3 years at the Chef Level.
  • Significant relevant experience may substitute for Education Requirement
  • ServSafe Certificate Required Massachusetts Allergen Training Certificate Required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
