The Opportunity: As the People Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment for our employees. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of human resources, from onboarding to employee relations and compliance. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure the club's workforce is aligned with its values, goals, and member service standards.

Duties and Functions:



  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage the full team member lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Lead efforts to enhance team member engagement, satisfaction, and retention through effective communication and recognition programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to department managers and supervisors on HR-related matters.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees and management on HR policies, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other relevant topics.
  • Handle team member relations issues by conducting investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports for management review.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic workforce planning.


Qualification Standards:



  • Proven track record as a People Operations (HR) Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Can demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite.
  • Proficient in working with Human Resources Information Systems. Prior experience with Paycom preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Anticipated schedule includes 2 days off per week while working every other Saturday from April-September.
