Overview

Metalcraft is looking to hire a IT Support Specialist, to perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing personal devices and workstations; diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents; confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software required; installs new hardware and software and maintains existing components; trains end users in the use of equipment and software; performs general maintenance tasks; troubleshoots and resolves issues with user devices and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization; evaluates products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support; recommends to management the support or nonsupport of evaluated products. This position is onsite at the West Bend Metalcraft plant.



Responsibilities

    Provide Tier I and Tier II customer service and technical support to end-users for hardware and software.
  • Diagnose, research, and resolve routine end-user issues in a timely manner through established protocol and troubleshooting; escalate as necessary.
  • Install, configure, and test installed hardware and software on new or existing devices, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Set up new equipment and devices; set up and maintain workstations; provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data.
  • Replace equipment that has reached the end of its warranty or lifecycle.
  • Assist in the tracking of hardware and software products.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPO administration.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online email deliverability issues, anti-spam solutions.
  • May review and evaluate new computer hardware and software products.
  • Propose system improvements, new software, and any projects, which will move the company forward.
  • Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users; maintain communication and monitor incident through resolution.
  • Train end-users on new devices and technologies.
  • Support multiple locations and off-hours when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication skills and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.


Qualifications

  • An Associate's Degree or higher in IT or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in IT overall.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365.
  • Cisco knowledge and experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus but not mandatory.
