Painter (INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY)

Starting Salary Range is $44,116.80 - $46,367. Under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director and Director, the Painter will perform campus wide exterior and interior painting of all buildings and equipment.

• Prepare surfaces for painting and applying paints to machinery, equipment, furniture, and interiors of buildings by brush or spray guns.
• Scrape, sand, and size surfaces prior to painting.
• Mix, blend, match, and apply paints, varnishes, shellacs, enamels, and other finishes.
• Check condition of woodwork.
• Erect or rig scaffolds.
• Cover surfaces and furniture to protect from paint.
• Clean and care for brushes, spray guns, and other equipment.
• Tape, float, skim, and texture sheetrock.

• Paint parking lot spaces, handicap spaces, ramps, and light fixtures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• One (1) year related work experience preferred
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry loads of fifty (50) pounds or more on a frequent basis; must be able to work from ladders, boom truck, or man lift
• Standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, twisting, walking, grasping/squeezing
• Able to work individually and/or in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including nights, days, weekends, and holidays as needed
