JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Sales Support Analyst at Doble Engineering is dedicated to supporting the global sales team function through pre-sales activities including lead qualification, quotations and proposals, as well as the management of simple and complex instrument and fee-based service orders. Other responsibilities will include other supporting functions including commercial customer documentation, system configuration verification, and channel partner communications. The Senior Sales Support Specialist takes on complex instrument and fee-based service orders and may act as a team lead as needed. This position has a matrixed reporting line to the Sales Support Supervisor and reports to the Director, Global Sales Operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Provides pre- and post-sales support to the global sales team.
  • Prepares quotations and proposals to be presented to customers and channel partners, primarily focused on configured systems, software, and fee-based services. May support other areas of the business as required.
  • Coordinates with the appropriate stakeholders on non-standard quotations and proposals to ensure scope of work and accuracy.
  • Prepares and coordinates large project risk management process
  • Enters orders received from customers and channel partners into ERP system.
  • Communicates with the sales team, channel partners, and customers on the status of orders.
  • Works closely with Operations department to ensure that all orders are meeting export compliance requirements.
  • Monitors notification services, external resources, websites, and other resources for the release or pending release of RFQ.
  • Monitors notification services, external resources, websites, and other resources for the release or pending release of potential formal RFI, RFPs.
  • Ensures CRM information is updated including but not limited to customer contact information, selling opportunity status, etc.
  • Responds to and complete customer requests for commercial documentation, including but not limited to insurance, safety, compliance, quality, legal, financial, etc.
  • Completes Complex Supplier Applications (insurance, safety, compliance, quality, legal, and financial).
  • Provides pre- and post-sales support of Global Professional Services.
  • Facilitates the negotiation, edits, completion and acceptance of Terms and Conditions between the customer and Doble Legal.
  • Maintains Health & Safety information (OSHA.)
  • Manages and maintains Library of Information (Certificates of Insurance, Large Formal Proposals, Supplier info, customer specific Terms & Conditions, Contracts etc.)
  • Manages, maintains and updates customer portals: Ariba, Achilles etc.
  • Manages the request and allocation process for demonstration unit fleet.
  • Provides lead qualification for inquiries through website, events, and other forums.
  • Completes supplier registration forms, websites, etc.
  • Creates periodic and ad-hoc sales reporting/analyses from available systems, identifying and resolving inconsistencies and suggesting reporting and system improvements.
  • Provides training to new employees.
  • Handles very complex instrument and fee-based service orders.
  • Takes on team lead duties as needed.
  • Provides guidance to elevated questions and issues from team members.
  • Handles special projects.
  • Anticipates, researches and reports on future changes for sales support and in relevant local territory practices, and ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department's own strategy, resources and procedures.
  • Communicates, liaises, and negotiates internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • May be assigned to execute other initiatives within the Sales Operations Department.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:



  • University Bachelor's Degree B.A./B.Sc. in Business, Marketing, or equivalent related experience


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • 8 + years of direct experience in a Sales Support or Sales Operations role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Successful record of accomplishments of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A history of meeting customer driven deadlines.
  • An anticipation of needs and proactive approach.
  • In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practice.
  • Analytical skills to problem solving and propose solutions.
  • A professional demeanor at all times both with all stakeholders both internal and external to Doble.
  • Ability to act in a team lead role.
  • Previous CRM experience (Salesforce.com preferred.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.)
  • Domestic and international travel, including air travel, may be required up to 10%; passport required.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Familiarity with Doble family portfolio.
  • Fluency in additional languages other than English.
  • Experience working in a global environment.
  • Previous team lead experience.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
