Airport Engineering Intern

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity for a limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on airport projects starting May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026 based at our office in Indianapolis, IN.

The intern will be responsible for assisting engineers with various airport projects that include performing the following:

  • Design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates
  • Performing field inspection, documentation, and survey work
  • Program administration
  • Technical research and writing
  • Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and about 75% travel, including some overnights, will be required.

The successful candidate must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering, civil technology, electrical engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Civil3D software
  • Construction Field Experience including observation and documentation
  • Survey tasks
  • Civil/survey engineering coursework
