Overview

At Milton Rents, we pride ourselves on being a leader in the heavy equipment rental industry. We're looking for a motivated Class C Technician / Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment. You will assist with machine preparation, preventive maintenance (PM) services, and light repair work while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

Pay rate: $28.50 per hour.



Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

    Perform machine preparation, preventive maintenance (PM) services, and light repair work.
  • Use required hand tools and specialized tooling for assigned tasks.
  • Assist with yard organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist customers and drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
  • Follow all company safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete timecards, work orders, and service reports accurately and on time.
  • Assist with parts ordering and warranty documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools are properly stored at the end of each shift.


Qualifications

  • A team player who can also work independently when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Qualifications:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and perform minor repairs.
  • Familiarity with oil, lubricant, and coolant exchange intervals and proper storage procedures.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to remove/install attachments and minor engine components.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to sit and stand for long periods with frequent bending.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
