Job Summary The IT Manager will lead the IT Operations team and oversee all infrastructure, systems, and technology operations within TEVET. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and managing the IT operations function in alignment with business goals. Working in partnership with key stakeholders, the IT Manager develops innovative technology solutions that enhance business capabilities, improve productivity, and drive long-term technology investments. The IT Manager will also serve as the security compliance leader, ensuring TEVET meets and maintains Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 requirements, while coordinating with a third-party Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to manage cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and overall threat posture. The position will champion integration and report on implementation projects, progress, and technology plans to the executive team. Additionally, the IT Manager will build, mentor, and develop IT team members to maximize their potential and align with TEVET's growth strategy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of IT infrastructure and system management, including Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, server administration, backup/recovery, and endpoint management.
- Assess technologies and design technical architectures that increase business agility, security, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain TEVET's CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity program, ensuring compliance through documented policies, procedures, and technical controls.
- Establish, document, and/or maintain technical and administrative safeguards for the storage, transmission, and handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR-regulated data in alignment with DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
- Perform internal audits and continuous monitoring to ensure adherence to CMMC L2, NIST 800-171, and ITAR standards while maintaining audit trails and readiness for external assessments.
- Collaborate with TEVET's MSSP to monitor systems, perform vulnerability management, oversee incident response, and execute ongoing security awareness training.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, cloud solutions, and vendor products that support evolving business requirements.
- Manage selected vendor relationships, assist with contract negotiations, and ensure vendors meet service level and compliance expectations.
- Partner across business units (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR) to align IT strategy with organizational goals and maximize ROI of technology investments.
- Develop and manage annual IT budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.
- Create and enforce IT governance, change management, and disaster recovery plans to minimize risk and downtime.
- Champion the integration of AI-driven technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, within Microsoft 365 and Azure to accelerate automation, improve collaboration, and drive scalable digital transformation.
- Lead and document periodic risk assessments and internal audits to maintain continuous cybersecurity improvement.
- Ensure consistent reporting to executive leadership on IT project status, cybersecurity posture, and compliance readiness.
- Establish an ongoing professional development plan for IT staff to ensure technical competency and retention.

Supervisor Responsibilities
- Manages and coaches Systems Administrator and IT Engineering Support Technician.
- Indirect oversight of contracted vendors, MSSP analysts, and technology partners.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
- Limited travel may be required for training, vendor meetings, or locally supported systems.
- Standard office environment; exposure to typical technology equipment (PCs, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, firewalls, managed switches, servers, cabling, etc.).
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift moderate-weight equipment.
- Must have close visual acuity to analyze data, monitor systems, and operate standard office equipment.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent training.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in IT leadership or management.
- Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
- Demonstrated success in cybersecurity governance, compliance auditing, and vendor management.
- Strong background in project management, infrastructure planning, and cloud services management.
- Experience supporting IT systems for a sales-driven or government contracting environment preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and DFARS cybersecurity requirements.
