EA Recruitment Leader- The Auto Club Group

What you will do:

Develops, implements and manages Entrepreneurial Agent (EA) talent acquisition programs and activities across the corporate footprint. Responsible for achieving all EA recruiting and head count goals. Owns and drives the processes for keeping the business region current on recruiting initiatives, strategies and trends. Leads initiatives to promote the competitive advantages in the marketplace. Establishes agent pipelines to ensure the availability of candidate pools. Partners with Field Vice Presidents to embed recruitment in their business strategy for growth, retention and profit. Serves as a subject matter expert by educating leadership on program objectives and providing insight on actions needed related to EA Recruiting. Supports the agency development efforts by providing competitor, market and industry intelligence on agent contract and value proposition strategies. Develops and/or analyzes production and information, as well as accompanying demographic information, necessary to adequately project market availability and proposed agent placement in markets. Conducts needs assessments to identify, analyze and recommend opportunities to improve recruitment practices. Manages, resolves and tracks recruiting issues that escalate from business partners, agents, or insureds in the region.

Manages personnel responsible for EA sourcing, recruiting, selection and on-boarding duties. Establishes a business process for analyzing, communicating and taking action on recruitment initiatives. Trains and develops team to increase productivity in order to meet established goals. Conducts audits and reviews all recruitment processes and activities to ensure compliance with corporate, agency and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams to support special projects and initiatives. Coordinates with Agency Programs on agent contract inquiries, disputes and inquiries submitted from the field offices. Advocates business partner, agent and/or insured support for strategic initiatives or positions taken by Field Distribution to protect/promote the brand. Ensure that all assignments support the attainment of profitable, all-lines policy-in-force growth (including life and financial services), loss ratio, service and objectives, expense control and spread of risk through the appointment and training of agents and agency staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages a recruitment team who may be located in one or more locations. Selects, hires, trains, develops, counsels and disciplines assigned staff in accordance with corporate and Human Resource policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Five years job related experience in/with:

    • Developing recruitment strategies

    • Management consulting

    • Performance analysis and employee development

    • Program management and execution

    • Identifying and managing project resources

    • Conducting needs assessment

    • Presenting to and communicating with management

  • Budget preparation and monitoring

  • Managing staff

  • Motivating and leading others

Knowledge / Skills:

Knowledge of:

  • Extensive knowledge of insurance products and field distribution models

  • Laws and regulations governing Human Resource practices and compliance

  • EEO and affirmative action guidelines

  • State and Federal selection and hiring regulations

  • Program management techniques

  • Client engagement techniques

  • Writing and presenting program proposals

Ability to:

  • Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to and support AAA's vision, values, and business strategies

  • Motivating independent agents

  • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills

  • Demonstrate a strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, and leadership

  • Work independently and handle several projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with an aptitude for creative solutions

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned regions and working irregular hours when necessary.

  • Position expected on occasions to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior EA experience

  • Prior experience within Personal lines insurance

  • Management experience

Education:

  • Completion of, or actively pursuing LUTCF, CLF, CLU or CPCU
