Description of Job:

Plating Technician IV:

Performs the activities required to support manual and automated manufacturing operations and rotate duties as required.
• Work includes movement of material to and from machine operations and locations, and loading/unloading machines.
• Starting equipment and keeping it running by clearing faults, cleaning, unjamming and adjusting machines when necessary and restart machines.
• Identifying agents for cleaning parts and rinsing parts and cycle time for cleaning and removing runners and external burrs.
• All features of the SDM packing station including operation of elevator for hiboys, control panel for weighing parts, scale, banding station, AS400 computer, conveyor system for packing.
• Proper traveler identification of next operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Monitor machine settings.
• Visual inspection of parts for conformance to specifications using prescribed equipment.
• Records accurate counts and production documentation.
• Proper recordkeeping.
• Pack parts according to specifications.
• Follow prescribed procedures of QS9000 methods documents.
• Follow prescribed procedures for preparing reports.
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

PAY RATE: $24.36/HOUR PLUS .75 SHIFT PREMIUM - HOURS 3PM TO 1AM - TUES.-FRI.

TRAINING ON FIRST SHIFT

Experience: Prior manufacturing experience. Computer, writing, reading and math skills.

Qualifications: Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull and constantly stand.

Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver's license for power driven vehicles.

HS Diploma or GED required.

Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

Background check required.
