Now Hiring Systems Calibration Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI

Hybrid Schedule: Monday - Thursday in office, Friday remote

Key Responsibilities

You will analyze vehicle test data, identify any performance gaps, and recommend effective solutions. This includes interpreting data from tools such as Excel, ATI Vision, INCA, CANape, and other CAN-based logging systems. The position also requires applying Thermal/Cabin System CAE tools to support A/C, heater, and battery thermal simulations.

The role involves planning and executing vehicle-level testing to meet program milestones-coordinating wind tunnel evaluations, supplier data reviews, and vehicle road trips. You will help ensure climate comfort strategies are fully implemented and documented, incorporating lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Required Skills



  • Strong data analysis capabilities using ATI, INCA, CANape, Excel, or similar tools
  • Experience with test planning, scheduling, and coordinating vehicle or wind tunnel tests
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and CAN-based tools


Preferred Skills



  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background with knowledge of automotive climate control systems
  • Understanding of refrigerant loops, HVAC air handling systems, and system interaction with ICE/xEV platforms
  • Experience with powertrain calibration, software integration tools (CANoe, CANalyzer), and automotive communication standards (CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet)


Required Experience



  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with vehicle testing or attribute development
  • Strong understanding of complete climate control systems and subsystem interactions


Preferred Experience



  • M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years in automotive climate control development, including heat pump and dual-zone systems
  • Knowledge of OEM engineering processes (e.g., TPOTs, GPDS)
