What to Expect
As a Tesla Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability and preventive maintenance of a wide array of critical manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production going.

What You'll Do
  • Lead of hourly Maintenance Technicians. This is a hands-on working lead role
  • Workforce management: day to day line support; in-house equipment maintenance repair work; vacation scheduling; OT & weekend work scheduling
  • Standard development and creation of work procedures and methods
  • Project management: both internal maintenance projects, and minor contractor projects
  • Procedures & PMs, develop & maintain proper documentationofall necessary procedures; periodic maintenance tasks; equipment changes (electrical, spare parts upgrades, mechanical), etc.
  • Assist with budget development and reporting
  • Training and directing the training of Junior Maintenance Associates

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of extensive experience withtroubleshootingand correcting industrial equipment maintenance - breakdowns and failures.Robotic, Hydraulics and controls skills
  • Must have expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional
  • Maintenance team leadership experience
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Proficient in downtime reports. Daily Pass down reports
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

    Expected Compensation
    $40.01 - $48.90/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
