Job Description

The University of Missouri's School of Medicine, Department of Radiology, is searching for a fellowship-trained Neuroradiologist to join our team. Our seasoned team creates an excellent opportunity for experienced candidates, as well as those just getting started, post-fellowship.

The University of Missouri neuroradiology imaging radiologists work in collaboration with three specialists from interventional neuroradiology. We have a strong working relationship with the Departments of Neurosurgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Neurology, which provides a stimulating atmosphere through daily interactions during readout sessions and clinical conferences. In addition, we accept one fellow each year in our Neuroradiology fellowship program.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Expected mix of teaching to clinical work:
    • 80% Clinical
    • 5% Teaching/Education
    • 15% Administration
  • Teaching
    • 75% of the time spent overreading residents & fellows
  • Expected call schedule
    • Every 6 weeks

Equipment is state-of-the-art and includes 2- 3T Siemens MRI scanners and 3 - 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners. 1.5 and 3T GE MRI Scanners. Additional 3T and 7T Siemens MRI scanners are at our new NextGen Precision Health imaging facility.

We offer opportunities to assist in the department's growth, the education of students, residents, and fellows across eight radiology fellowship programs, including a Neuroradiology Imaging radiology fellowship, as well as research and scholarly activities.

Our Educational Model
As educators, the Neuro Division is an integral part of University of Missouri (MU) medical student and post-graduate trainee education. We offer eight radiology fellowship programs, including an ACGME accredited Neuro Imaging Fellowship, which we accept one fellow per year.

Our Research Model
The NextGen Precision Health Institute is a $220 million, 265,000-square-foot research facility that is a hub where scientists and clinicians collaborate with experts in other disciplines. The facility is equipped for every step of the translational research process and houses a MAGNETOM Terra 7 Tesla (7T) MRI scanner.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
* MD or DO degree
* Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent)
* Completion of a Neuroradiology Fellowship
* Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure
