Scaler is a pivotal role to the operation as the production schedule and level of quality is contingent upon the timeliness and accuracy of each scaled dough. This role follows the guidance of the Scaler Group Lead to ensure the daily objectives are met. Scalers must be aware of a multitude of variables as success in this role relies upon the details. Role & Responsibilities * Follow the guidance and instruction of the Group Lead * Accurately scale ingredients according to the assigned dough code * Always scan and pay attention to environment and equipment settings * Accurately complete the daily scaling paperwork * Ensure ingredient bins are properly labeled and organized for proper access * Always maintain the cleanliness of your area for food and personal safety purposes * Utilize ingredients using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) Procedures * Understand the production environment and which doughs correspond to which lines * Must work at a reasonable pace. A general standard is seven (7) scaled doughs an hour * Efficiently and effectively communicate with Group Lead. It is your responsibility to keep them informed of your progress and request assistance when needed Requirements & Physical Demands * Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during a shift. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy wheeled equipment or carts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and crouch to access equipment, tools, or materials. * Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or operate machinery, tools, or controls * Ability to perceive and respond immediately to visual and audible safety alerts and warnings to ensure the safety of self and others in a fast-paced, hazard-sensitive environment with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles, odors, and fumes. * Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or work platforms as required by the position.
