Job Description: The IT Network and Cloud Specialist is a hybrid role that combines end-user technical support, network administration, and application/cloud troubleshooting. This position supports both traditional on-premises environments and modern cloud platforms to deliver seamless, reliable IT services across the organization. Duties/ Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support of AWS-hosted applications, virtual desktops, and other cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, RDS), including network connectivity between on-premises and AWS.
- Support users in migrating to, configuring, and using AWS and hybrid cloud solutions (security groups, IAM, VPN, Direct Connect).
- Monitor cloud and infrastructure performance, lead incident management, and maintain operational tasks (upgrades, cost optimization, backups).
- Assist in cloud automation and patching using Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Educate and assist end-users with AWS and cloud tools, document solutions and creating knowledge base articles.
- Configure, deploy, and support virtualized environments (e.g., VMware ESXi, Proxmox).
- Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and application issues-via help desk, remote, and onsite channels.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot end-user laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, including OS installation and user account setup.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity (VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN) and escalate as needed.
- Maintain and support organization-specific applications, ensuring proper integration with network and cloud services.
- Monitor network performance, manage documentation, and support network security.
- Participate in backups, disaster recovery, user account management, and compliance with IT policies.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for technical support, procurement, and escalations.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Minimum 4 years' experience in IT systems or network administration.
- Strong technical troubleshooting across hardware, software, network, and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in networking: LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, and protocols.
- Experience supporting AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and managing hybrid/cloud environments.
- Skilled in managing user accounts and group policies (Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, AWS IAM).
- Familiar with Windows, macOS, Linux for desktops, servers, and virtualized platforms.
- Hardware setup and support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Ability to clearly document procedures, incidents, and technical solutions.
- Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills for users of varying technical backgrounds.
- U.S. citizenship required

- Exposure to Linux server environments or scripting/automation on Linux.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate

- AWS Solutions Architect
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum four years relevant IT experience).
