Description

Develop, maintain, and cultivate complex relationships with Ophthalmology providers and practices, whether independent, part of a health system, or private equity owned. Responsible for proactively calling, emailing, and networking with practices in targeted states and markets to establish contracts with ophthalmologists for inclusion into the iCare Community Access Network.

Essential Functions

Lead strategic efforts for building provider relationships throughout the contracting process, liaising with targeted ophthalmologists in designated markets

Recruit entire ophthalmology practices and physicians to the iCare Health Solution's network

Utilize network adequacy data to identify recruitment needs

Initiate both warm and cold calls on leads, as well as cultivate additional leads based on health plan needs, as identified by business development

Prepare and send information packets to providers who have requested recruitment materials

Review terms of contract with providers and negotiate applicable rates within pre-approved parameters

Facilitate a seamless handoff to the contracting department to ensure all agreed-upon terms are translated into contract form

Achieve recruitment targets through proactive outreach efforts to providers in assigned markets/states

Provide a weekly report on provider pipeline (including number contracted, in process, pending, outreached, and leads)

Work with team members to identify process improvements

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of 4 years experience in physician recruiting

Prefer 2 years experience with Medicare and Medicaid programs and/or Ophthalmology

Knowledge of ophthalmology and physician contracting

Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills, with the ability to identify key employees within a practice quickly

Ability to explain plan benefit compensation terms to physicians and staff

Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Must be organized and have excellent time management capabilities

Skilled to initiate and make cold calls

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365

Ability to travel within short time constraints occasionally

The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
