AGE Solutions is seeking a Local Area Network Engineer/Administrator to support a DoD customer. Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzes and designs voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
- Analyzes and develops telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services.
- Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion.
- Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported.
- Defines the problem and develops system requirements and network specifications.
- Closely coordinates with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services.
- In conjunction with functional users, develops alternative solutions and backup plans.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Clearance:
- Current DoD Secret with an IT-I Investigation (SSBI/T5) or Top Secret
- Experience:
- 3+ years of related experience (Higher level education or military service can be used in place of network experience)
- Certifications:
- Must have a compliant 8570 IAT-II Certification
- Must have a relevant network certification (Ex: CCNA)
- Location:
- This is a fully onsite position. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of one of the following locations in order to work onsite full time: Tracy, CA; New Cumberland, PA; Jacksonville, FL; Barstow, CA; Ogden, UT
- Candidates must be willing to travel within the United States (approximately 25%).
Environment:
- Must be able to lift 30 -50lbs over your head.
- Must be able to bend and move around equipment racks.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 This position is part of a pipeline for a future opportunity supporting a DoD customer. Employment is contingent upon contract award and government customer approval.
