ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ and San Jose, CA. This position will be in Wilton, CT.

As the QC Project Lead, you will champion quality initiatives within the Optics Manufacturing area, with a strong focus on leading quality projects, establishing standards, and driving continuous process improvement. You will manage cross-functional efforts, collaborating closely with Production and Engineering to ensure the safe, on-time delivery of high-quality products.

Shift: 1st shift (Mon-Fri)

Role and responsibilities

As a QC Project Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and execute quality-focused projects that enhance operational performance and product reliability.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and best practices across the optics manufacturing area.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, streamline workflows, and improve compliance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and use data-driven insights to drive improvements.
  • Potentially lead/manager and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with established QC standards, inspection methods, and documentation requirements
  • Creating employee annual performance goals and coaching and mentoring your team of technicians for daily success.
  • Lead regular audits of processes, work instructions, and tooling to ensure conformance.
  • Partner with Metrology Engineering to ensure proper measurement system analysis (MSA, GRR) and calibration of inspection equipment.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for nonconformance issues within the shift, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
  • Foster a "first time right" mindset by coaching technicians on inspection discipline, documentation accuracy, and defect prevention.
  • Ensure quality training and certification for all technicians is maintained and up to date.
  • Maintain a project tracker for ongoing quality initiatives, driving accountability and follow-up on action items.
  • Coordinate with Production, Metrology, and Engineering teams to prioritize projects that reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Establish clear project charters and success metrics for quality-related initiatives (e.g., yield improvement, process stability, audit readiness).
  • Facilitate regular project update meetings, documenting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Monitor post-project performance to verify improvements are sustained and lessons learned are shared across shifts.
  • Report project status, quality KPIs, and escalations to area management in a structured and timely manner.
  • Anticipating resource requirements and allocating accordingly in order to meet shift goals.
  • Leading by example, encourage personal motivation in an effort to achieve world class quality and performance.
  • Communicating effectively to gain buy-in from technicians and influence department leaders.
  • Administering and enforcing company policies and procedures in a direct and consistent manner.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science in technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years Optical Fabrication experience.
  • 2+ years project management experience.
  • Strong manufacturing operation acumen.
  • Strong LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience - you can demonstrate a history of operational improvement through effective collaboration with your employees and across your partner organizations.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Outlook 365 applications, with knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO14001. Direct working experience in an ISO certified environment desirable.
  • Prior experience leading teams is beneficial, but not required

  • May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, solvents and tooling.
  • May also be exposed to laser energy and magnetic fields.
  • Production areas are maintained at 70 to 75 degrees and 35-50% RH.
  • The noise level in the manufacturing areas is usually moderate.
Additional Responsibilities:

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.).
