What to Expect
The Associate Drug & Alcohol Program Administrator will contribute to the ongoing success and implementation of Tesla's Substance Abuse and Testing Policy. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day case management and coordination of program functions and needs. The role will be cross-functional in nature and the candidate must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts. The ideal candidate will serve as an internal resource for inquiries regarding the substance abuse program and an external resource to third party vendors and customers. This role is based in Fremont, CA but requires 15-25% of travel each month.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the weekly coordination of drug and alcohol testing for multiple sites by making timely notifications to management and 3rd party vendors
- Coordinate drug and alcohol testing by providing escorts of employees by both foot and vehicle
- Accurately maintain and monitor record keeping systems for drug and alcohol related events and incidents
- Prepare reports, audits, and statistical systems on a bi-weekly basis
- Lead recurrent trainings for both new hires, employees, and supervisors to promote education and increase awareness of the drug and alcohol program
- Liaison with third party vendors and Medical Review Officers (MROs) providing guidance and responses aligned with internal policies and processes
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert providing guidance and interpretation of Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies to employees, leaders, and other internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
- Flexibility in working a combination of days, nights, and midshifts to meet business needs
- Ability to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hour shifts
- Familiar with the administration and enforcement of safety, security, and or substance abuse policies
- Proficient with computers and all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience and ability to work within the manufacturing/production environment, handling high volume, complex case management
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Expected Compensation
$70,400 - $105,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
