From your PASSION to ours

Midwest Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst based in Reed City, MI.

Requirements

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to the supervision of operations controlling activities related to a USA industrial facility and reporting to the Plant Director. The role includes providing direction and expertise to the Industrial, Purchasing and Milk Collection departments and supporting the plant leadership. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will functionally collaborate with the plant leadership or Directors; Managers and Supervisors related to the financial management of these departments and align duties with the company's goals and values.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include

The main responsibilities would include:

CAPEX:

  • Coordinate the CAPEX Budget process for the Plant together with the VP, Industrial US business units
  • Track key investment execution and payback follow-up vs promised returns
  • Suggest/navigate the optimization of the investment strategy

Budgeting:

  • Lead the Budget process for all plant with the Plant Director, and with coordination of the BU
  • Ensure the Group rules are applied, hypothesis harmonized and savings plan integrated
  • Ensure a bridge between purchasing and industrial budgets

Reporting:

  • Successfully complete the monthly reporting and analysis, on time and with clear explanations of variances
  • Ensure accuracy and timelines of the data, accuracy of the information, in industrial and milk collection

Forecasting:

  • Facilitate the building, accuracy and submission of monthly forecasts
  • Increase accuracy and accountability of the teams in the plant, and milk collection
  • Ensure good visibility on plant performance and action plan integration in the numbers

Operational improvements & decision support:

  • Monitor the financial performance of the plant, support the execution of the saving plans with the Plant Director
  • Benchmark the performance and continuously identify areas of improvement/savings
  • Share best practices on common subjects of the Plant (i.e. Raw material follow-up, Productivity...)
  • Increase the know-how in industrial Controlling to the plant leadership.
  • Support the CDG Director US and VP Industrial BU to ensure that the best decisions are made from the US perspective (based on accurate and up-to date costing)
  • Help automate and improve the reporting & analytical tasks of the plant/BU controllers in his scope

Training & HR:

  • Identify & develop talents, ensure functional and know-how growth in individual approach (aligned with Director, CDG Operations Controlling)

  • Bachelor's degree is required or 5+ years of experience in lieu of
  • 5+ years of Controlling experience preferred
