HOURLY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

$20 per hour to start, with an average of 20–25 hours per week.

This position will be responsible for assisting the operations manager with general vehicle and building maintenance and will serve as an agency van driver transporting clients to and from their homes to GPCS programs.

Candidates must be able to work in the morning and late afternoon and be at least 25 years old.

Pre-employment drug testing, a criminal background check, and a current VA driver’s license with a clean driving record are required

DEFINITION
Under supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position provides transportation to
consumers as assigned, to and from the Community Services programs at either the
Goochland or Powhatan locations. The transportation drivers are responsible for providing
safe and efficient transportation services, maintaining the cleanliness of their assigned
vehicle, performing general maintenance on the vehicles, and to complete required
documentation to support the program objectives.
JOB EXPECTATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide daily transportation to consumers based on daily logistic sheets to and from
Community Services programs, typically in a program provided van.
• Perform a daily safety inspection of vehicle prior to departure.
• Complete required reports, forms and other documentation as required.
• Report any behavior issues with a consumer.
• To perform other assigned duties as necessary within established policy and
procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 25 years of age with at least 1 year of driving experience.
LICENSE (S)
Position will be required to possess a valid Virginia driver's license
