Responsibilities
Coral Shores Behavioral Hospital is an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Stuart, FL, and provides inpatient treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each patient case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Financial Counselor/ Collector is responsible for the billing follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies and third party payors to resolve all outstanding owed balances; works closely with the Financial Counselor and the Intake Department to ensure accurate admissions data collection. May code and post all receivables from patients' insurance companies and third-party payors on patient accounts. The Account Representative works as backup support for other team members to ensure business needs are met. Qualifications Requirements Education: High school diploma of GED. Some college preferred. Experience: Two to five years work experience in business office setting in a healthcare related field is required. At least two or more years experience medical billing experience is highly desirable. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (HMS) preferred.
