Leads the strategic development and execution of advanced analytics initiatives to strengthen compliance and audit functions across Mercy. This role leverages data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business intelligence tools to enhance data-driven decision-making, identify risk patterns, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include automating and visualizing compliance data, aligning analytics with federal and state regulatory priorities (e.g., OIG Work Plan, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers), and collaborating with revenue cycle, coding, and audit teams to proactively identify and correct claim errors. Additionally, the position partners with Internal Audit and AI governance leaders to validate responsible AI use and ensure governance processes function as intended. The role requires adaptability to evolving AI practices in healthcare and a commitment to delivering actionable insights that drive impact across the organization.
Position Details:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Health Care Informatics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large health system, with a focus on technical development of business intelligence analytics and visualizations. Certifications: Certified expert-level proficiency in ACL Analytics Desktop.
