Essential Functions: This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties and responsibilities:



  • Runs all manual and production equipment with no direction.
  • Makes offsets and changes inserts with no direction.
  • Able to read and edit CNC programs.
  • Ability to identify cause of tool failure along with the ability to correct it.
  • Performs all duties in the most cost efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Improves efficiencies whenever practical.
  • Operates assigned machine and maintains production objectives.
  • Performs all duties in the most cost efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Inspects and keeps an accurate count of parts.
  • Performing machine setups as required on just CNC lathes or just CNC Mills depending on the area person is specialized in.
  • Performs measuring activities with precision measuring equipment in conjunction with machining operations.
  • Cleans machine periodically to maintain proper operation.
  • Consistently maintains green light and efficiency objectives.
  • Performs machine shut down procedures at the end of shift as required.
  • Accurately records labor hours and quantity of parts produced.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Performs all duties in a safe, efficient manner and observes all appropriate Company safety regulations.
  • Must be able to machine large product, such as pumps and chassis.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Graduation from high school plus completion of a two-year program in machining or equivalent on the job training. OJT must be 3 years or more.

Experience and Skills Required: At least two years of recent related machine shop experience which includes the following skills and abilities:



  • Considerable knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in machining operations.
  • Considerable knowledge of the manufacturing production process machines.
  • Considerable knowledge of related safety requirements including proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
  • Considerable knowledge of basic measuring skills in a production environment.
  • Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Compensation Hourly Range: OTC7: $25.60 - $35.87 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
