Security Officer - Campus Patrol Coverage

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Coverage in PHILADELPHIA, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site policies.
• Support the enforcement of campus rules and regulations to help maintain order within the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
• Provide information and assistance to students, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
