Description

Printer's Row Publishing Group, a division of ReaderLink Distribution Services, seeks an entry-level, detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to help in the daily communications and support in the publishing operations group. This role will consist of entering purchase orders and creating carton labels. This person ensures smooth and effective communication, as well as fast resolution of issues. Ideal candidates will have data entry, purchasing, inventory, and logistics experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for entering and tracking overseas and domestic purchase orders, as well as transfers to 3rd party distributors.
  • Create carton labels for each purchase order.
  • Oversee and ensure the timely delivery of shipments.
  • Act as a liaison between our operations, logistics, and finance teams.
  • Data entry into multiple systems.
  • Run, format, and distribute reports.
  • Assist with the process of routing advance samples and approvals.
  • Provide general clerical support.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or general educational development (GED) diploma or certificate is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience functioning at an intermediate clerical level is preferred.
  • Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Demonstrates, attention to detail, strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines, and react promptly to team needs.
  • Ability to move and lift heavy boxes of books.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • A methodical and organized approach to problem-solving.
  • The work performed is in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to vibration and dust.

Salary:$65,000.00 - $67,500.00
