| Essential Job Duties |
The Pharmacy Technician supports the efficient, safe, and patient-centered operation of the Campus Health pharmacy by assisting pharmacists with a wide range of technical and administrative duties.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Processing prescription claims
- Interpreting and filling medication orders
- Providing excellent customer service
- Participating in ordering and inventory management
- Performing vaccinations as authorized
- Communicating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to achieve high levels of patient care
- Fostering a safety-focused pharmacy practice environment
- Completing other record keeping and administrative tasks as needed

| Other Responsibilities |
- Maintains spreadsheet for invoice tracking
- Performs quality assurance control with nursing staff and establishes new procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Performs quality control over posted charges entered by staff.
- Manages reporting and designs reports to collect statistical information for drugs dispensed, quality control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or high school diploma or equivalency and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician. |
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience preparing, interpreting, and filling medication orders in a pharmacy or clinical setting.
- Demonstrated skill in inventory management, ordering, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and spreadsheet/report creation for tracking, data analysis, and quality assurance.
- Experience performing or assisting with quality control/quality assurance activities in a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with prescribers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
