Summary
The intern will be a member of the Realterm fund and asset management team based in the Chicago, IL office. On the fund and asset management team, the intern will be responsible for performing market research, building out and maintaining Realterm's proprietary data system, assisting with investment evaluations and assessments, running fund level models and sensitivity analysis as it pertains to leasing opportunities. The intern will participate in external calls with property owners, tenants, and brokers, and participate in property tours.
Our part-time internship (up to 20 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling to support your academic or personal commitments. Upon successful completion of the internship, the candidate may be considered for inclusion in our analyst program (https://www.realterm.com/careers/). To be included in the analyst program the candidate must obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher before June 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze data, track information, and support business development activities.
- Market data entry, utilizing Salesforce, to build Realterm's proprietary database of market intel.
- Assist RLF Value Add team using proprietary Lease Analysis models and other routine financial modeling assignments.
- Performing market research, using our Costar market research software, to compile property comparable information.
- Utilize and update Realterm's property and tenant trackers when appropriate.
- Assist in evaluating potential leasing prospects including completing various sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Updating fund level trackers and models.
- Stay up to speed with market trends and current events.
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Working with company financial software, handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Qualifications

- Ability to work independently and perform repetitive clerical tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
Education and/or Experience
- High School degree, or equivalent required
- Experience with Salesforce and Costar a plus
Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the workday, sitting at a desk, consistently operating a computer. The person in this position must be able to access file cabinets and office machinery (to include a computer, copier, and fax machine).
Work Environment The position will work in a general office setting.
