CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Team in Albany, NY, where you will play a key role in advancing site investigation, remediation, and geotechnical engineering projects. This is your chance to grow professionally while working alongside talented professionals to restore impacted sites, support sustainable land use, and ensure the success of critical infrastructure.



What You'll Do:

    Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for site investigation, remediation, and geotechnical engineering projects
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
  • Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing site safety, stability, and sustainability
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of environmental and geotechnical infrastructure such as groundwater monitoring and landfill investigations


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in engineering field
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $73,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
