Employees must reside in, and work from, one of the above approved states. The opportunity The Academic Technology Solution Owner reports to the Manager, Virtual Labs. You will work as a technical expert and product owner for feature sets, integrations, and services within the online learning environment on behalf of internal and external customers. You will conduct technical analyses, design and accomplish functional tests, use data to inform product decisions, create detailed communications and documentation, and provide subject matter expertise to support a variety of platforms, products, and projects. Your efforts will enhance student and faculty experiences by guiding innovation within the virtual lab learning environment and improving operations. You will work 100% remotely from any of our approved states. #LI-Remote What You'll Do: * Function as product owner for various products, feature-sets, integrations, and services within the learning environment, providing subject matter expertise and change leadership on behalf of users and partners. Your primary focus will be on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) products and platforms. * Perform planning, scoping, business case analysis, detailed requirements definition and prioritization activities, balancing the product roadmap, technical debt, and maintaining product stability to maximize value delivery. *Coordinate with technical product manager(s) to ensure alignment between backlog prioritization and strategic roadmap(s) *Act as a primary liaison between partners, technical product manager(s), and cross-functional agile teams. *Provide the voice-of-customer throughout the Software/System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), employing UX study findings and UX heuristics to ensure that learning product/platform functionality is used in a scalable, accessible, and intuitive manner. *Represent Academic Technology Solutions Delivery on multiple university projects, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve project outcomes. *Drive optimization and innovation within the learning environment by conducting rigorous analysis and testing of new features and designs, soliciting requirements from university partners, and participating in cross-functional innovation and testing pipelines. *Leverage platform knowledge, SQL, data analysis fundamentals, and reporting tools to produce event-based analytics on user interactions with the learning environment and to develop adhoc reporting to support optimization and operations. *Drive continuous improvement of Virtual Lab business processes and operations to support enhanced products and services, pursuing the use of automation techniques. *Function as third-party vendor relationship manager for specific feature sets within SNHU's learning platforms and integrations, providing support and a positive user experience by advocating for user and our needs. *Act as a technical expert on learning platform functionality, conducting testing and providing implementation recommendations for new features and functionality. *Serve as subject matter expert for escalated platform and product issues, troubleshooting and providing support to end-users and staff. *Ensure that end-users and stakeholders are aware of upcoming product launches/enhancements or unexpected changes to the learning environment, partnering with the appropriate team(s) to create communications and training materials. *Other responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For: * 3+ years of professional experience in education or technology role (e.g. Virtual Labs, Desktops, LMS). *Experience performing detailed analyses to gather requirement gathering. *Experience using data to inform decision-making based on the requirements and analyses. Experience with functional testing of technology systems and/or integrations. Experience within or supporting a project team/function. Experience with supporting a product roadmap or lifecycle. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
