Position Overview

PSI is seeking a Security Police Officer to protect Department of Energy (DOE) property, facilities, personnel, and assets. This role is responsible for maintaining order, enforcing regulations, and ensuring a safe and secure environment in accordance with DOE requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned DOE site
  • Provide security and safety for client property, personnel, and assets
  • Prepare daily logs and incident reports
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives in accordance with company policies
  • Conduct continuous foot patrols and maintain a visible security presence
  • Perform responsibilities as an Alarm System Operator
  • Respond to emergencies and receive communications on a 24/7 basis, as required
  • Demonstrate a strong "safety first" mindset
  • Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, punctuality, and work ethic
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active DOE "L" Security Clearance required; reciprocal or higher clearances may be considered if accepted by DOE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to successfully complete an extensive pre-employment medical evaluation, including a strenuous physical agility test
  • Ability to complete an extensive training program, including non-lethal weapons and firearms qualification (initial and semi-annual)
  • Applicants may be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 absent an approved accommodation
